Water-based lotions require a preservative system to be microbiologically safe — that's just chemistry. The problem isn't the preservative itself; it's which preservatives most commercial brands choose. Parabens, formaldehyde-releasing agents, and harsh synthetic chemicals are standard in drugstore moisturizers — not because they're the best option, but because they're the cheapest.

We use Optiphen Plus — a paraben-free, formaldehyde-free preservative system that keeps your lotion safe from bacteria and fungal growth without the toxic baggage found in mass-market brands. Add in synthetic fragrance, artificial dyes, and cheap filler oils, and you start to see why most commercial lotions do more harm than good for Alberta skin.

Sugar Body Scrub Before you moisturize, exfoliate. Our sugar scrub buffs away dead skin cells so your moisturizer can actually penetrate — not just sit on top of a layer of dry, flaky skin.

Magnesium Lotion Not just a moisturizer — a recovery tool. Zechstein magnesium chloride in a hemp, jojoba, and shea base. Apply to tired muscles, restless legs, or sore shoulders before bed.
